Fortuny factory, showroom and garden

Culture venueLocal favourite

Mariano Fortuny founded this textile factory on the Giudecca in 1921 on the grounds of an old convent, and his printed cottons are still made here with a secret process: by the founder's will no outsider enters the production floor. The boutique on the Giudecca Canal and the walled garden are a calm hour that very few visitors plan for.
