Founded in 1933, the oldest bookshop in Venice and the one Venetians and Ca' Foscari students actually use: thousands of backlist titles from the big Italian publishers, discounted books, English shelves and its own publishing house on Venetian subjects. Its SpazioEventi hosts book launches and debates. Visitors queue for Acqua Alta's gondola of books; locals come here.
