A Kaffeehaus at this corner since 1887 (founded nearby in 1867) with a listed fin-de-siècle interior of red banquettes, marble tables, big mirrors and stucco. Its fight against eviction in 2009-10 made headlines; it survived and remains a calm room above the Mariahilfer Straße bustle.
