Haus Wittgenstein

MonumentLocals' pick

The only building by the philosopher Ludwig Wittgenstein, designed 1926-1928 with Loos pupil Paul Engelmann for his sister Margaret Stonborough-Wittgenstein: a stark white block where he obsessed over door handles, radiators and ceiling heights. Today it houses the Bulgarian Cultural Institute.
