Michael Edlmoser's Heuriger in Mauer is one of the best in Austria: a winegrower's house from 1629 with a green garden, organic wines (Gemischter Satz, Riesling, Muskateller, reds), and a buffet with offal and roast pork from Hödl, Vienna's last butcher who still slaughters his own animals.
