Fischer von Erlach's imperial court stables of 1725, behind the longest Baroque facade in Vienna (355 m), turned into one of the world's largest cultural quarters, with the Leopold Museum, mumok, Kunsthalle Wien and Architekturzentrum around eight courtyards. In the warm months the main courtyard fills with locals lounging on the coloured MQ 'Enzi' benches.

- Time Out recommends the MQ Libelle rooftop terrace for views over the old town.
- It sits directly across the road from the Kunsthistorisches and Natural History Museums; Museumsquartier (U2) and Volkstheater (U2, U3) are the stations.
