Amsterdam's oldest remaining non-religious building: built in 1488 as the Sint Antoniespoort city gate, then a weigh house with guild rooms. The surgeons' guild held its public dissections in the Theatrum Anatomicum upstairs, the setting of Rembrandt's 'Anatomy Lesson of Dr Nicolaes Tulp'.

- Find the oldest gable stone in Amsterdam (dated 28 April 1488) on the tower at the Zeedijk and Geldersekade corner.
