A municipal pool opened in 1912 inside an 1897 building that was first an indoor cycling school, so the pool sits upstairs; it still draws about 700 swimmers a day. Lane swimmers use it from morning to evening, a few steps behind the Rijksmuseum, which the museum crowds never notice.
