The fluted brick minaret, 38 m high with 90 steps, is the symbol of Antalya and is attributed to the Seljuk sultan Alaeddin Keykubad I. The six-domed prayer hall beside it was rebuilt in 1373 by the Hamidid Mehmet Bey on twelve columns with reused ancient capitals.

Good to know
- Look up at the eight flutes of the shaft: traces of the original turquoise and dark-blue tiles are still visible.
- Inside, a glass floor panel shows historic water channels found during the 2007-2010 restoration (en.wikipedia).
- The same complex holds the Mevlevihane museum, the Zincirkıran and Nigar Hatun tombs and the 1239 Atabey Armağan (Gıyaseddin Keyhüsrev) medrese portal.
