Opened in 1919, it is Budapest's second-oldest strand after Palatinus: more than 90,000 square metres of old trees and terraced sunbathing lawns on the hillside, fed by a spring the Romans piped to Aquincum. Its 23-degree water is rich in calcium and magnesium, and Budapest's first wave pool was built here in 1925. A building added in 2018 keeps it open all year.
