Caballito's covered food market since 1889, with 174 inside stalls, many run by grandchildren of the first stallholders: greengrocers, butchers, fishmongers, bakers and bars. Neighbours do their daily shopping here; it shuts at midday and reopens late afternoon, like a real neighbourhood market.
