A 1.8-kilometre creekside promenade by Meraas (2017): one half rebuilds a wind-tower quarter with a heritage souk, the other is contemporary. Architecture scholars have called its 'artificial ageing' inauthentic, which is worth knowing; it is still the most pleasant evening walk on the Bur Dubai bank, with dhows and abras passing a few metres away.
