Opened in 1968 by Murlidhar Parmanand Joshi, known as Kaku Maharaj, to feed Dubai's Bhatia community, it was then the city's only Indian vegetarian restaurant and is older than the UAE itself. Order the thali or the Bhatia curry, with samosas, vada pav or chaat, and take jalebi from the sweets counter.
