William Chambers' 18th-century pleasure house for Lord Charlemont, one of the finest neo-classical buildings in Europe: it looks like a small temple from outside but hides 16 rooms, including the domed Zodiac Room. Three miles north of the centre in Marino, it is almost unknown to visitors.
