The first church built in Lisbon after the 1910 Republic, opened in 1938 and designed by modernist Porfírio Pardal Monteiro: stained glass by Almada Negreiros, the patroness by Leopoldo de Almeida and frescoes by Lino António make it almost a museum of 1930s Portuguese art.
