Culture venue

The last and most lavish of Broadway's movie palaces, built in 1931 by S. Charles Lee in French Baroque style: a grand staircase to a crystal fountain, a ladies' lounge with sixteen compartments each in a different marble, and a basement lounge where prisms projected the film so patrons could watch while they socialised.
