Opened in 1911 as the third LA home of the Orpheum circuit, it is the oldest original Orpheum theatre left in the US; Houdini, Will Rogers and Fred Astaire played here. The Florentine-palazzo facade carries terra-cotta swags, fairies, theatrical masks and four panels of the muses of vaudeville.
