Prince Rainier III opened this small library on the Rock on 20 November 1984 in honour of Princess Grace's Irish roots. It holds her personal collection of Irish books and sheet music. Monaco's English-speaking residents come for books in English, including for children from 18 months, and for evening talks and St Patrick's Day. Tourists in the lane outside rarely notice the door.
