A small 19th-century pleasure garden with three theatres (Novaya Opera, Hermitage and Sfera), a stage and a fountain; the Moscow Art Theatre opened here in 1898. Muscovites use it for free summer yoga, festivals and in winter one of the city's most romantic skating rinks; visitors rarely leave Tverskaya for it.
