A tiny museum opened in 1980 in the 17th-century Protopopov chambers, telling the history of Moscow street lighting from oil lanterns to the lamps used in the Kremlin stars. Families come for the hands-on lamplighter and control-desk games; visitors do not know it is behind Myasnitskaya.
