A 516 m stone bridge begun in 1357 under Charles IV. It was the only way across the Vltava until 1841 and lies on the old coronation route. Its 30 mostly Baroque statues, first put up around 1700, have all been replaced by replicas.

- For a calmer crossing with a view of Charles Bridge, walk over Mánes Bridge instead (Time Out).
- Tradition says to touch the base of the St John of Nepomuk statue for luck (Time Out).
