Dario Fociani opened Faro near Piazza Fiume in late 2016 as one of Rome's first specialty coffee bars, and since 2022 roasts his own beans as Aliena. Gambero Rosso gives it top marks in both the 2026 and 2027 guides; Azzurra Florean's pastry adds maritozzi, the round "maritondo" and old Roman ciavattoni.
