The former prison island under Västerbron is where Södermalm and Kungsholmen go to swim: a sand-and-grass beach on the west side, a rock bath on the east side and wild green paths in between. Visitors walk over Västerbron without ever going down to it.

- Långholmens strandbad has toilets and a shower but no changing rooms; the east-side klippbad has neither, and dogs may swim there.
- Café Stora Henriksvik sits right by the beach for fika.
