Stockholm's great 19th-century cemetery, opened on 9 June 1827: 62 hectares of tree-lined avenues with about 33,000 graves, including Alfred Nobel, August Strindberg, Ingrid Bergman, Nelly Sachs and the Andrée polar expedition. Few visitors make the trip to Solna.

Good to know
- Strindberg's grave is a simple black wooden cross hidden behind a rhododendron near Stora Gravkoret (Svenska kyrkan's Ingegerdsleden route).
- Walk the lime avenue between the Molin and Alfred Nobel monuments (Ingegerdsleden).
- Greta Garbo is not buried here: she lies at Skogskyrkogården.
