A sloping shopping street up from Iidabashi Station that grew up just outside Edo Castle's outer moat as a district of geisha houses and restaurants; a few geisha houses survive in its narrow alleys. Two French schools nearby also give it a strong French presence, with many French cafes and restaurants.
