A Benedictine nuns' church two minutes behind St Mark's, where Giovanni Bellini's San Zaccaria Altarpiece (1505) hangs on the left wall. Behind it, the old church keeps Andrea del Castagno's 1442 apse frescoes, an early Florentine Renaissance work in Venice, above the crypt of the earlier church.
