A Baroque basilica begun in 1716 to plans by Johann Lukas von Hildebrandt, its vaults painted by Franz Anton Maulbertsch in 1752-1753. The church closes off Jodok-Fink-Platz, the village-like heart of the Josefstadt, where locals sit in the square's restaurant gardens.
