One of the showpieces of Red Vienna: about 1,100 flats built 1925-1929 by Heinrich Schmid and Hermann Aichinger on a former barracks site, with a street curving through the estate under a great pointed arch and a run of concave and convex facades in sober Art Deco. Its old cinema hall has housed the Rabenhof Theater since 1990.
