Dubai's first independent contemporary art museum (2018), built by the Saudi Art Jameel foundation on the Creek at Jaddaf. Serie Architects' white building opens onto the water, with miniature gardens of rescued trees in its light wells, three floors of exhibitions, a 3,000-book art library, a public garden and an outdoor amphitheatre. Free, quiet and serious.
