A Basque pelota court of 1894 for 4,000 spectators by Joaquín Rucoba, hidden behind a block in Chamberí. Closed for pelota in 1919, it decayed for a century and reopened after a restoration that won Spain's national conservation prize; an interpretation centre now runs through its galleries.
