A Habsburg hunting palace in the 16,000-hectare El Pardo forest, rebuilt after a fire in 1604 and enlarged by Sabatini for Carlos III, with tapestries woven from cartoons by Goya and the Bayeus. Since 1983 it lodges foreign heads of state on official visits.
