One of Milan's first African restaurants, open since the early 1990s in Porta Venezia, which the community calls its 'Little Eritrea' (Il Giornale del Cibo) and where the Eritrean-Ethiopian community has lived since the 1970s. Order zighinì (spiced beef, chicken, fish or vegetable stew) on injera and eat with your hands, tearing the bread to scoop; add sambusa to start. For many Eritreans it is a home away from home.
