Tuileries to the Eiffel Tower along the Seine: a walk in Paris

West along the Seine from the Orangerie through Concorde and over Pont Alexandre III to the quai Branly and the Eiffel Tower, finishing on the Allée des Cygnes.

Water Lilies rooms, 60 min.
Two oval rooms built to Monet's specification for his eight Water Lilies panels, plus the Walter-Guillaume collection (Renoir, Cézanne, Soutine) downstairs.

Loggia over Place de la Concorde, 60 min, or view from outside.
18th-century royal furniture repository restored in 2021: gilded salons, intendant's apartments and the loggia over Place de la Concorde; also houses the Al Thani Collection.

Cross to the Left Bank.

Musée du quai Branly – Jacques Chirac
Free garden, museum optional.
Arts of Africa, Oceania, Asia and the Americas in Jean Nouvel's building with a vertical living wall, 5 minutes' walk from the Eiffel Tower.

Eiffel Tower
Ascent needs a timed ticket.
The 1889 iron tower; the 2nd floor has the best city view, the summit (276 m) the widest. Walking the stairs to the 2nd floor is cheaper and usually less crowded.

Classic tower view across the river.

Walk south along the island to the Statue of Liberty replica.
