Osvald Polívka's Art Nouveau department store (1901-04) had only the second shopping passage in Prague; Jan Preisler added the allegory 'Commerce and Industry' in 1912. Its theatre opened in 1929 for Voskovec, Werich and Ježek's Liberated Theatre and plays on today as Divadlo ABC. Praguers know it from theatre nights; visitors pass the facade on Vodičkova without stopping.
