A temple-roofed neighbourhood bath in business since 1916, in a 1952 building with a high ceiling, small koi gardens, koi tile art and a Mt Fuji mural with a rabbit riding a carrot. The deep tubs are filled with well water heated over a wood fire, and the bandai-style front desk still watches both changing rooms.

Good to know

- Tattoos accepted without cover-up according to Time Out's tattooed editors (2026).
