Paolo Olbi has bound books by hand since 1962, using antique presses, hand-printed papers and hot-stamped leather in Byzantine, Liberty and classical Venetian designs, and dozens of Venetian bookbinders learned from him. Students from Ca' Foscari next door buy their notebooks here; visitors on the Frari-Santa Margherita route rarely look in.
