Woodworking since 1978 and run by three women since 1997, Signor Blum cuts and paints poplar wood by hand into flat puzzles of the Rialto Bridge, smiling ducks and nameplates made to order. Venetian families buy children's gifts here; it is a happier souvenir than plastic gondolas.
