The former main arm of the Danube, cut off from the river by the regulation of 1870-1875 and fed by groundwater since then. It is the largest surviving old arm on the left bank and the city's summer lake: rowing, electric and pedal boats, stand-up paddling and swimming, seven U1 stops from Stephansplatz.
