At 252 m still Austria's tallest structure, built for the 1964 Vienna International Garden Show and opened on 16 April 1964 to a design by Hannes Lintl. A fast lift takes you up in about 35 seconds to the viewing terrace at around 150 m for a 360-degree view of the city and the Danube; above it are a revolving café and restaurant restored in 1960s style.
