Favoriten's 'Platzl', founded in 1877, is the loud, cheap, working-class market of Vienna, with market criers and Urfavoritner Schmäh at the farmers' market on Leibnizgasse. It is the real thing rather than a foodie destination, and almost no visitor goes south of the Hauptbahnhof to see it.
