A working bath with 13th-century Seljuk features built over the remains of a Roman bath, recorded as restored in 1450 under the Makbul Ağa foundation; the hot room and hypocaust survive. It is the old-town hamam that still takes bathers, a few steps from the Kaleiçi Museum.
