Opened in 1926 as the last and grandest Orpheum vaudeville house in LA, where Mae West, the Marx Brothers and a young Judy Garland played; it is the most restored Broadway palace and still runs concerts and comedy most weeks. Look up at the gilded ceiling with its two huge chandeliers, and ask about the 1928 Wurlitzer organ, one of the few working theatre organs in the city.
