The Senate's own garden around the Palais du Luxembourg: the Médicis fountain, the Orangerie, the music kiosk, the statues and a beekeeping school, all inside the gilded railings. Laid out from 1612 over 25 hectares, it mixes a French garden, an English garden, an orchard and a large pond where children sail model boats.
