Architect Otto Rothmayer built this house for his family in 1928-1929 in the Mediterranean-inspired style that Plečnik promoted, and its spiral staircase is decorated with artefacts from Prague Castle that he brought home from work. His wife, the textile artist Božena Rothmayerová, had her studio here. Josef Sudek photographed its garden many times.
