Created by the city in the 1980s after an urban design competition: 123 hectares of protected meadows, woods and ponds in Vienna's most populous district, with 14 km of paths. The reed-fringed Wienerbergteich has the biggest reed bed in southern Vienna; Favoriten comes here to run and walk dogs.
